Science Olympiad is a national non-profit organization that is dedicated to improving science education, increasing interest in science, and providing recognition for outstanding academic achievement. It is also designed to encourage and support new and creative ways for classroom teachers to explore science curriculum. Science Olympiad is a fun, hands-on way to make science exciting and foster a passion for the subject, while promoting teamwork, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. Students in third through eighth grades are eligible to apply for the Science Olympiad team. Team members MUST commit to meeting every Wednesday and Friday after school starting Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Teams will meet from 3:00 – 4:00. Team members will also need to commit to being present at all practice meets and regional tournaments. (see dates below)
Practices will be held on Wednesday (12:00-1:00) and Fridays (3:00-4:00) in Room 19.
